connecting your TradingView account
before you can load any indicators, you need to link your TradingView username to edgeful. here's how:
1) log in to edgeful and click on your profile / account settings
2) find the TradingView username field
3) enter your TradingView username — you'll find it at the top left of your TradingView profile page
4) click update
that's it. once your username is saved, edgeful grants your TradingView account access to the full indicator library. it can take a few minutes to sync — if you don't see them right away, refresh TradingView.
finding edgeful indicators in TradingView
once your account is connected:
1) open TradingView and go to any chart
2) click the indicators button (or press / on your keyboard)
3) search for "edgeful" — you'll see the full list of available indicators
4) click any indicator to add it to your chart
they'll show up under the "invite-only" section since they're tied to your linked account.
you can add as many as you want. most traders use 3–5 at a time depending on what's in play that day.
the indicator categories
edgeful's TradingView indicators map directly to the reports on the platform. here's how they're organized:
session and range indicators
market sessions — plots NY, London, and asian session boxes with high/low levels
previous day's range / previous day's range by session — yesterday's high and low as horizontal lines on your chart
previous close by session — the NY session close level
previous week's range — last week's high/low plotted as reference levels
weekly open — plots every sunday's opening price for weekly bias
breakout and range indicators
IB (initial balance) — first hour high/low with midlines and extension levels
IB by levels — extension levels (0.5x, 1.0x, 2.0x, etc.) beyond the IB range
ORB (opening range breakout) — first 15-minute range with extension and retracement zones
ORB by levels — extension levels from the opening range
power hour breakout — session range with the final hour highlighted

gap fill — detects daily gaps, shows fill level and fill status
gap fill by session — futures/forex/crypto version using the NY session close
gap fill 2.0 — enhanced version with additional customization

opening candle continuation — marks the first hour candle's color and range for directional bias

that's a lot of indicators — but you don't need to use them all at once. the best approach is matching your indicators to the reports you're already using on edgeful. if IB and gap fill are your core reports, load those indicators. if you're focused on previous day's range and ORB, load those instead.
customizing indicator settings
every edgeful indicator is customizable in TradingView. double-click the indicator on your chart (or click the gear icon) to open the settings panel.
depending on the indicator, you can adjust things like:
session times — match your trading session (NY, London, asian)
colors and line styles — fit your chart theme
extension levels — choose which IB or ORB extension levels to display
labels and visibility — show or hide level labels, price values, etc.
spend a few minutes customizing when you first add an indicator. getting the visuals clean makes a real difference — especially when you're watching multiple levels during a session.
the URS indicator — a good starting point
if you're not sure where to start, the ultimate reversal setup (URS) indicator is a solid first pick. it combines 3 things into one indicator:
previous session range (high/low) — plotted in red
previous session close / gap fill level — plotted in blue
midnight opening price — plotted in yellow
that gives you the most important context levels for the open — all in a single indicator instead of loading 3 separate ones. it's a clean way to see what the market did yesterday and where the key levels are today.
a note on algo automation
if you're on the all access plan, edgeful also supports automated trade execution through TradingView.
the short version: edgeful has algo strategies (IB, ORB, gap fill, engulfing) that run in TradingView's Strategy Tester. when a signal fires, TradingView sends an alert to edgeful via webhook, and edgeful routes the order to your connected broker — Tradovate, NinjaTrader, or ProjectX.

troubleshooting
indicators not showing up?
make sure your TradingView username is entered correctly in edgeful — it's case-sensitive. after updating, give it a few minutes and refresh TradingView. if they still don't appear, log out of TradingView and log back in.
indicator looks wrong or isn't plotting?
check the session settings in the indicator. if you're trading futures, make sure you're using the "by session" version of the indicator (e.g., gap fill by session, not gap fill). the standard versions are designed for stocks/equities.
