summary: get instant access to edgeful's TradingView indicator library by linking your TradingView username to your account. the all access plan also includes 4 algo strategy indicators (ORB, IB, gap fill, engulfing).
what you need
an edgeful account (any plan — all plans include the full indicator library)
a TradingView account (the free plan works — no paid subscription required)
once your TradingView username is linked to edgeful, access to all indicators is granted instantly.
if you're planning to use edgeful algos or any futures-related indicators with live data, you'll also need a CME real-time data subscription on TradingView — see enabling real-time CME futures data on TradingView for how to set that up.

linking your TradingView username
during edgeful onboarding
you'll be prompted to enter your TradingView username as part of the setup flow.
after onboarding
go to the TradingView section in the left navigation bar inside edgeful. enter your username and save.
things to double-check:
enter your TradingView username, not your email address or display name. you can find your username at the top left of your TradingView profile page, or in your profile URL:
tradingview.com/u/[your-username].make sure it's spelled exactly as it appears on TradingView — it's case-sensitive.
finding your indicators in TradingView
once your username is saved, access is granted right away. here's where to find the indicators:
open TradingView
click Indicators at the top of the chart (or press the '/' key)
select the Invite-only scripts tab (scroll through the tabs at the top of the indicators panel if you don't see it immediately)
all edgeful indicators will be listed there
click any indicator from the invite-only list to add it to your chart. you can add as many as you need — the only limit is based on your TradingView plan.
algo strategy indicators (all access plan)
if you've upgraded to the all access plan, you get access to 4 exclusive algo strategy indicators in addition to the standard library:
ORB (opening range breakout)
IB (initial balance)
gap fill
engulfing
these appear in the same Invite-only scripts tab as the standard indicators. make sure your TradingView username is linked and saved in edgeful before looking for them.
updating indicators when new versions release
edgeful periodically releases updated versions of its indicators. updates can include new features, improvements to calculations, or visual changes. you don't need to go looking for updates — TradingView will tell you when one is ready.
how to know an update is available
when an indicator you have on your chart has a new version available, TradingView shows an update prompt directly on the indicator name in the chart legend — the area at the top left of your chart where your active indicators are listed.
look for a badge, label, or "update available" note next to the indicator name. if you don't see it, you're already on the latest version.
how to update
look at the chart legend at the top of your TradingView chart
find the edgeful indicator showing the update prompt
click the update button next to the indicator name
TradingView will apply the new version instantly
that's it. the indicator updates in place — no need to remove it and re-add it. your custom settings — inputs, parameters, colors — carry over to the new version automatically.
if the update prompt isn't showing
refresh TradingView. close and reopen your browser or the TradingView app. the prompt should appear after a fresh load.
check the right chart. the update prompt only shows on charts where that indicator is actively applied.
already up to date. if the prompt still doesn't appear after a refresh, you may already be on the latest version.
reset settings. use the indicator's reset settings feature to resolve persistent issues like color changes not applying.
if you're still not seeing it, reach out via the in-app chat and the team can confirm whether an update is live for your account.
how to re-request indicator access
if your indicators stopped showing — you changed your TradingView username, your subscription lapsed and got renewed, or something else bumped the access grant — here's the fastest way to get them back.
open edgeful and go to the TradingView section in the left navigation bar.
confirm the username matches what's on your TradingView profile exactly (case-sensitive — check it at
tradingview.com/u/[your-username]).click save again. even if nothing looks like it changed, re-saving re-triggers the access grant on the backend.
close TradingView completely — every tab, every window. don't just refresh.
reopen TradingView and check the Invite-only scripts tab under Indicators.
that's it. the indicators should show up after the fresh load.
if they don't, reach out via the in-app chat with your TradingView username and we'll verify the access on our end.
troubleshooting: indicators not showing up
TradingView was already open when you linked your username
this is the most common cause. when you link your username, TradingView needs a fresh start to grant access.
fix: close TradingView completely — all tabs and windows — and reopen it. the indicators should appear in your Invite-only scripts tab after that.
indicators still missing after closing and reopening
go back to the TradingView section in the edgeful left navigation bar
confirm your username is entered correctly and saved (re-save it even if it looks right)
close TradingView completely and reopen it again
if they're still not showing, reach out via the in-app chat and the team can verify access on the backend.
can't find the Invite-only scripts tab
click Indicators at the top of your chart. at the top of the indicators panel you'll see several tabs — All, Favorites, My scripts, and others. scroll through them until you see Invite-only scripts.
entered the wrong username
go to the TradingView section in the edgeful left nav, update your username, and save. then close TradingView completely and reopen it.
troubleshooting: indicators disappeared
if your indicators were working before but have now disappeared or show errors on your charts, one of two things happened:
cause 1 — edgeful subscription lapsed
when your edgeful subscription expires, TradingView indicator access is revoked along with it. edgeful sends an email reminder if your payment fails.
how to restore access:
renew your edgeful subscription
go to the TradingView section in the edgeful left navigation bar
re-save your TradingView username (even if it hasn't changed — this re-triggers the access grant)
close TradingView completely — all tabs and windows
reopen TradingView and check the Invite-only scripts tab
cause 2 — TradingView username changed
if you changed your TradingView username after linking it to edgeful, the old username loses access.
how to restore access:
go to the TradingView section in the edgeful left navigation bar
update your username to match the new one exactly as it appears on your TradingView profile
save it
close TradingView completely and reopen it
troubleshooting: "Access Error" in TradingView
this error usually means TradingView was open when the access grant was processed — so the update didn't push through to your active session.
fix: close TradingView completely — all tabs and windows — then reopen it. the error should clear and your indicators should load.
if the error persists after a full restart, go back to the edgeful left nav, re-save your username, and reopen TradingView again. if it's still not resolving, reach out via the in-app chat and the team can check the access status on the backend.
