selecting reports on what's in play

how to add, remove, and search for reports in the what's in play left sidebar — including select all, unselect all, and why your selection doesn't automatically save.

summary: the WIP left sidebar has checkboxes for about 27 available reports — click to add or remove them from your dashboard, or use select/unselect all to reset.

what's in play has roughly 27 reports available to track — these are the reports with a live, real-time component that can surface active setups during a session. not every edgeful report works in WIP, so the selector shows only the ones that do.

the report selector lives in the left sidebar on the WIP page. it's a checkbox list — every report you tick appears as a column in your WIP results. every report you untick disappears from the view. your selection directly controls what you're scanning for.

adding and removing reports

to add a report, find it in the left sidebar list and click its checkbox. it'll appear in WIP immediately.

to remove a report, click the checkbox again to deselect it. it drops out of the view without affecting anything else — your other reports, filters, and asset tabs stay exactly as they were.

there's no limit to how many reports you can have active at once, but a focused selection is easier to work with. most traders run 5–10 reports rather than all 27.

select all and unselect all

at the top of the report selector there are two shortcuts:

  • select all — adds every available report to WIP at once. useful if you want a full market scan with everything running.

  • unselect all — removes all reports, leaving WIP empty. use this as a fast reset before building a specific selection from scratch.

searching for a report by name

if you know which report you want, type its name directly into the search field in the report selector. the list filters as you type — so typing "gap" narrows it down to gap-related reports, and "IB" pulls up initial balance options.

this is faster than scrolling through the full list, especially when you have a specific report in mind.

default reports

when you first open what's in play, a starter set of reports is pre-selected for you. these are a solid starting point and give you immediate coverage of the most commonly used setups — you don't need to configure anything to get value from WIP on day one.

you can adjust this default selection at any time by checking or unchecking reports in the sidebar.

your selection doesn't save automatically

this is one of the most important things to know about the report selector: your current selection isn't saved between sessions. if you close WIP and come back, it may not remember exactly which reports you had active.

if you've built a selection you want to keep — say, 8 specific reports you run every morning — save it as a template. templates preserve your full WIP configuration so you can restore it in one click instead of rebuilding it each time.

see the templates article for how to create and use templates in WIP.

common questions

why isn't a report I use showing up in the selector? only reports with a live, real-time tracking component appear in WIP. if a report isn't in the list, it doesn't have a WIP-compatible version — it's available in the full reports section but can't surface live setups during a session.

I selected all my reports but my WIP looks empty — what happened? check your filters. the probability slider and bias filter can hide setups even when reports are active. if a report is selected but no setups meet your filter threshold, nothing will show for it. try lowering the probability slider or clearing the bias filter to see if setups appear.

can I have different report selections for futures and stocks? not natively — the report selector applies to whatever asset tab you're on. the cleanest way to manage different setups is to save separate templates for your futures and stocks configurations and switch between them.
